Newton Artemis Fido Scamander is the main character in the Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The character is played by Eddie Redmayne. Newton Scamander attended Hogwarts where he studied magical creatures. Following an unfortunate event due to an experiment performed by him he was nearly expelled if it wasn\u2019t for Albus Dubledore, his transfiguration teacher. After school, Scamander travels around the world to discover various magical creatures and write about the magical creatures he encounters, that leads him to an adventure in New York where things went terribly wrong. He is a celebrated author of the best seller book Fantastic beasts and where to find them as well.
